Where have I been? by Alex Walker Walker

It’s been some time since I made a blog post, however during these strange and trying times in lockdown I hope to be posting more frequently and sharing more content with you. Over the next few months, I’ll be taking a look back through my archive and sharing some of my favourite shoots, memorable moments, or just generally individual photos that I love.

So why haven’t I posted for the last 4 years?  Well a lot has happened… In 2017 after years of deliberating I made the bold, and surprising, move to begin my training to become an airline pilot.   It was a long and challenging process, but I loved every minute and met some incredible individuals. This summer I’m happy to say I passed my final exams and am now fully qualified (Just in time for COVID-19 to make it a challenge to get a flying job).

While I was able to do a few shoots during my time in training, such as photographing the Queen in Buckingham Palace, studying and flying of course remained my priority.   You can follow more of my journey becoming a pilot over at @pilot_Walker on Instagram.

In the meantime, I’m looking forward to working full time as a photographer again and I am available for commissions.
